1. Bojongrongga Swamp

Previously, this place was an uninhabited swamp which was used as a fishing spot by local residents. In 2009, this place began to transform into a culinary tourist spot with the establishment of the Mbah Suro Restaurant, followed by other restaurants.

This place offers culinary tourism from various processed fresh fish such as grilled fish which has become a favorite menu in almost all Bojongrongga restaurants.

There are also typical Banyumasan foods such as Plecing Kangkung or stir-fried kale and mendoan tempeh. The prices offered are quite cheap, starting from IDR 5,000 to IDR 50,000.

Apart from culinary delights, visitors can also enjoy other holiday experiences here with the many various rides. One of the mainstays is a tour around the swamp while enjoying the view of buildings made of bamboo with roofs made of palm fiber and palm leaves using water ducks with a rental price of IDR 25,000.

Kemit Forest was once a pine forest area in Sidareja District. As time went by, many people began to visit frequently, which made residents take the initiative to add simple facilities to this pine forest area.

Kemit Forest is located on Jl. Srikaya, Karanggedang Village, Sidareja District. The distance is about 50 km from the city center of Cilacap. To get to the location, visitors can use private vehicles and public transportation from Cilacap or Purwokerto.

Kemit Forest provides a variety of interesting rides with facilities that are no less good.

Havana Hills is a new tourist attraction in Cilacap Regency which opened on April 29 2022. The location is on Jalan Lengkong, Cikembulan, Jeruklegi Kulon, Jeruklegi District, Cilacap Regency.

Havana Hills itself is an acronym for the words Forever Fun Days. This tourist spot offers a variety of modern and instagrammable photo spots. Apart from photo spots, Havana Hills also provides a cute and colorful camping ground, VR Cinema, Rainbow Slide, Rabbit Palace and Water Playground.

The entrance ticket price is IDR 15,000 per person. Just like Kemit Forest, the ticket price does not include fees for trying out existing rides. The price for each ride is also different, starting from IDR 15,000 to IDR 20,000, while for the camping ground the rental price is IDR 50,000 per night.

4. Fort Pendem Cilacap

It wouldn’t be complete if you went to Cilacap but didn’t visit a location that has become one of the tourist icons of Cilacap Regency, namely Pendem Fort.

Fort Pendem Cilacap has the original name Fort Willem II which was built by the Dutch East Indies government from 1861 to 1879. This fort is located on the coast of Cilacap, Central Java. The construction of this fort was intended to withstand attacks from the sea. This can be seen from the many moats surrounding the fort.

Even though it is more than 100 years old, buildings such as weapons barracks, defense fortifications, surveillance fortifications, meeting rooms, medical clinics, weapons warehouses, gunpowder warehouses, prison rooms, kitchens, officers’ rooms and bullet rooms are still strong today. While touring around the fort, visitors can also enjoy the swish Turtle Bay beach which is connected to the Pendem Fort tourist attraction.

Apart from the main fort, there is also Karangbolong Fort on Nusakambangan Island. To reach Karangbolong Fort, visitors can cross using fishing boats that have been provided along the shoreline of Turtle Bay. The rental price offered is around IDR 35,000 to IDR 50,000.

Pendem Fort Tour is open every day from 08.00 to 18.00 and ticket prices range from IDR 5,000 to IDR 10,000.
