Welcoming Ramadan, the Indonesian Presidential Museum Balai Kirti is holding a Walking Tour event for travelers. You will be invited to explore historical objects in Bogor.

With the theme ‘The Story of Diversity in the City of Bogor’, the Indonesian Presidential Museum Balai Kirti invites history lovers to enjoy a moment of ngabuburit together by exploring historical objects in the City of Bogor.

This Walking Tour event collaborates with the Bogor Historical Walk (BHW) Community. Participants were invited to explore several historical locations in the city of Bogor with a travel route from the meeting point at Lawang Suryakencana, followed by a trip to Vihara Dhanagun.

The journey then continues to the Bogor Post Office and Zebaoth Church, and ends at the Balai Kirti Presidential Museum of the Republic of Indonesia.

Chair of the MCB Museum and Gallery Team, Pustanto, said that holding the Walking Tour event with the theme ‘Stories of Diversity in the City of Bogor’ by the Indonesian Presidential Museum Balai Kirti is one of the efforts to create an inspiring and educational museum in Indonesia.

“Taking advantage of the momentum of Ramadan, we hope that this Walking Tour activity will continue to be held as an innovative form of museum program that is interesting and can attract the interest of the younger generation to learn and appreciate the history of the nation,” said Pustanto in his statement, Tuesday (19/3/2024).

The person in charge of the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Museum Unit, Balai Kirti, Linda Siagian, added that her party would like to thank all parties who were involved in the Walking Tour event which was held on Friday (15/3).

“In the future, the Walking Tour agenda and collaboration will certainly not stop here and will continue to provide innovative programs and services for young people who are interested in knowing and studying history,” he said.

The Balai Kirti RI Presidential Museum, located in the Bogor Presidential Palace area, is a museum that immortalizes, appreciates and commemorates the leadership of the Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia.

Inaugurated on October 18 2014 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, this museum functions as a recreational and educational facility for visitors to learn more about the history and achievements of the country’s leaders.
