Taiwan presents tourism with a new concept, namely halal slow travel tourism, suitable as a destination for Muslim tourists.
The tour is at ‘Tri-Mountain Multiple Surprise’ which is held at the Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area, Taiwan. Carrying the concept of slow travel or a relaxed tourist trip, Tri-Mountain combines natural charm, culinary delights and iconic cultural riches, so that tourists can enjoy a quality travel experience.
This campaign is an effort by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Taiwan to set 2023 as a momentum to increase and attract foreign tourists, including Indonesian tourists.

This effort is also in line with UNWTO (United Nation World Tourism Organization) World Tourism Barometer data which records an increase in global tourist movements of 235 million tourists, or double compared to 2022.
Taiwan’s Minister of Transport and Communications Tsao Chung-Yu called the Tri-Mountain charm one of Taiwan’s gems.
“We see that many foreign tourists want to visit authentic tourist destinations with a slow travel concept, and Tri-Mountain is the answer they are looking for. Through the ‘Tri-Mountain Multiple Surprise’ campaign, we focus on improving the quality of tourism that is friendly for Indonesian tourists. Taking tourists into consideration “For Muslims, we also present halal tourism so that tourists can enjoy their holidays while praying in peace,” said Tsao Chung-Yu.
Apart from that, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau also focuses on improving the quality of Taiwan’s tourism which is friendly to Muslim tourists. They are trying to increase Muslim tourist visits to Taiwan through strategic planning, including encouraging local Taiwanese businesses to implement Halal certification.
To make travel easier for Indonesian tourists, they have also launched an Indonesian language guidebook containing information about what can be explored at Tri-Mountain.
“We invite tourists to explore the natural beauty, culture and culinary delights of Taiwan with us. Apart from that, Tri-Mountain also has a surprise in store in Taichung, a fashion district with trendy shopping centers that are popular with Indonesians. This experience will not only leave you amazed when visiting, but will also leave a valuable memory when you leave this place,” concluded Tsao Chung-Yu.
